Visone
The village of Visone is traversed by the Visone stream, from which it takes its name. This small watercourse is a tributary of the Bormida River, which skirts the outer part of the village where the fortress, the castle, and the oldest part of the settlement are located.
Cavatore
This village, set between the Valle di Erro and Valle di Visone, has a truly distinctive atmosphere. Small and built in stone, it has lost three-quarters of its population over the past century, and today only about 260 people live here.
Acqui Terme
In the Bormida Valley, on its left bank and at an altitude of just over 160 meters, surrounded by the vineyard-covered hills of Upper Monferrato, lies the ancient town of Acqui Terme.
